The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin is located in Josanica, 15 km from Sokobanja. It is the oldest religious temple in this part of Serbia. It dates back to the 11th century. The church is made of stone, with the unexampled iconostasis, which has been partially restored and well-kept.

The most impressive icon is the icon of Jesus at the age of three, as a boy, a man (at the time of suffering) and the third, and most interesting, as an old man.
