The Turkish bath ‘Amam’ is located in the central park of Sokobanja. It was built by the Turks on the foundations of Roman baths from the 15th century. The bath was first renovated in 1834 by the order of prince Milos Obrenovic, and the last time, it was renovated in 2005.
This is the only Turkish bath operating on the territory of Serbia. It is also famous for the scene of the movie ‘Zona Zamfirova’ directed by Zdravko Sotra, which was made in that bath.
