The ‘God’s Gate’
The ‘God’s Gate’ is located on mountain Krstatac, in the area of the village Milusinac, 15 km away from Sokobanja. The unique window of the ‘God’s Gate’ is a rare natural wonder and a rare speleological occurrence. Aside from a great number of tourists, this place also attracts scientists from this scientific field.
Apart from the speleologists, the ‘God’s Gate’ is attractive to the mountaineers as well. The starting point for mountaineers is the village Milusinac, from where they need to go upstream by the stream Urdes on the muddy road, further along the forest path and along the stream, continuing to the ‘God’s Gate’, which stands at 690 meters above the sea level. The mountain Krstatac itself represents a singular tourist spectacle, because, from its top, visitors can see Babin zub, Knjazevac and all the surrounding villages. Near the ‘God’s Gate’ is the waterfall Milusinac, the picnic area Manastiriste and the spring Buk. People believe that God’s Gate has healing powers, and that if someone suffers from a serious illness, he/she can be cured by going through the gate.
